A WoW Quest, generally speaking, is a specific task given by
an NPC to your character that has a reward at it's completion.
There are also other ways to find quests. You can read signs
and wanted posters, they sometimes have them. You can also read
scrolls, open containers, etc. You can see that there are
several ways you can get them, and because there so many you
can use them to further your gold profiting.
Quests are great for a maxed out character. If your like me
you get tired of grinding it out for gold, then they are
definitely a great solution. The monotony of farming for gold
kills me, that's why they are a great alternative for making
gold profits. WOTLK really helped in this regard by changing
the XP gain to money. This really helps to put an end to
endless farming once you max your characters out. The change of
pace is refreshing and it feels nice not having to deal with
the Auction House or the Trade Channel all the time. The
exchange rate for XP's is 6 copper for each XP, it doesn't seem
like a lot but it adds up to quite a bit.
Let's take a closer look at daily quests to see how they
function and how you can make some serious gold.
You can only do 25 daily quests per day for each character.
It resets every 24 hours at the same time each day. There are a
ton of daily quests currently available. If you plan well you
can easily get 25 done in a relatively short amount of time.
For Wrath of The Lich King there are numerous new daily quests,
such as: Preparing For The Worst where you gain 9 gold 86
silver; Aces High where you gain 13 gold 23 silver. There are
over a hundred such daily quests in WOTLK alone, the variety of
the tasks is good and you don't get bored, which is great.
As you can see daily quests can be very profitable and can
win you tons of Reputation Points as well which opens up the
possibility of getting epic mounts only available if you have a
certain amount of reputation points. This is a nice side
benefit to doing them. So if you get bored of the traditional
ways of making gold, why not give daily quests a shot. Keep on
gaming!
